When Kodak released the new Kodak Zi8 digital video recorder they offered serious competition to the Flip lineup of video cameras by offering more memory expansion and a bigger screen to name a few new feature on this new Kodak Zi8 video camera

The Kodak does not offer the ‘flip’ USB port that made the Flip video cameras so popular with those wanting a compact video camera that is easily used to shoot and share video, but the Kodak Zi8 did and does include a USB port and cable to share video and connect to your computer. The Kodak Zi8 offers full HD video recording at 1080p at 30 frames per second in the HDTV  16:9 video format  for gorgeous looking HD video. When shot well, you would never know that a small digital video camera with a price of just over $100 shot the high resolution video. You might think that the Kodak Zi8 video was shot with a much higher end video camcorder. 

With the Kodak Zi8 in your pocket,  not only can you shoot your full high definition video of all your summer fun but you can easily share your good times on popular video sharing sites such as youtube, flickr and FaceBook by just plugging in the Kodak Zi8 to your computer and transfering video to your computer using the free software from Kodak that is included with the Kodak zi8. 

And if sharing your video online isn’t what you want, or prefer, you can share your videos in the comfort of your home or office by simply hooking up the small kodak video recorder to your high defintion LCD or  Plasma TV by using the HDMI cable and port that is included when you buy the Kodak Zi8.
